MKonline becomes Wattsight

26.01.2018

MKonline has undergone a transformation. What started as an in-house analysis service within Markedskraft, have developed into a preferred provider of data and insight to the European power markets. They provide everything from short term data monitoring and forecasting, to long term intelligence on power prices and macro developments. By the end of 2017, MKonline was demerged from Markedskraft and transferred to a new company, Wattsight AS. The portfolio department will continue in Markedskraft AS.

The new legal entity was registered at the end of 2017, and from Jan. 19, 2018, they have been using their new company name “Wattsight” with a new logo and brand identity. At the same time, a new website was launched under the domain wattsight.com, with all traffic being redirected from mkonline.com to wattsight.com.

This move does not affect the ownership structure of either Markedskraft AS or Wattsight AS. Arendals Fossekompani ASA remains the majority owner (71.7%), and we are very excited about the time ahead.
